Tim McGraw (born Samuel Timothy “Tim” McGraw in Delhi, Louisiana on May 1, 1967) is an American country music singer and songwriter. He has won multiple Grammys, People’s Choice Awards, American Music Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, and Country Music Association Awards. When his own country music hero, Keith Whitely, died in 1989, Tim dropped out of college and moved to Nashville to get into music. His discography includes studio albums Not A Moment Too Soon, A Place In The Sun, Live Like You Were Dying, and Two Lanes of Freedom. His hit singles include “If You’re Reading This,” “I Need You,” “Grown Men Don’t Cry,” “Angry All The Time,” “Truck Yeah,” and “Highway Don’t Care.” Pop-country music star Taylor Swift’s 2006 debut single was about him, titled “Tim McGraw.” His acting credits include The Blind Side, Friday Night Lights, The Kingdom, and Four Christmases. He had lead roles in Flicka and Country Strong.

Personal Life:
Tim McGraw was raised by his mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Ann D’Agostino, and believed that his stepfather, Horace Smith, was his biological father. He found out that his bio dad was actually New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Frank Edwin “Tug” McGraw Jr., with whom his mother had an earlier private relationship. Tug denied being Tim’s father for 7 years, until a teenage Tim started bearing so much resemblance that the paternity could not be denied.

After just breaking off a prior engagement to another woman in 1996, Tim fell in love with Faith Hill while touring with her. The pair married on Oct. 6, 1996. They have three children together, Gracie Katherine (born in 1997), Maggie Elizabeth (born in 1998) and Audrey Caroline (born in 2001). After they married, the couple vowed to never be apart from one another for more than three days at a time!
