She gave Your Teen Mag an explanation of her reasoning some time ago, saying,

I allowed her to participate in neighborhood theater and enroll in an excellent acting program. She may perform as a guest for the experience, in my opinion. However, I would never let her star in a TV show.

She continued by saying that a teen who is committed is immediately taken out of their peer group and regular environment.

The Daytime Emmy winner has a very personal reason for worrying about this. She therefore began working at “General Hospital” at the age of 14 on a three-year contract that included 52 weeks of work per year. From that point on, Eliza’s mother missed the rest of her time in high school.
