Dakota Johnson, Fifty Shades of Grey Star Dating Jordan Masterson

Fifty Shades of Grey‘s leading stars are both already taken! Charlie Hunnam is dating jewelry designer Morgana McNelis — and Dakota Johnson‘s main squeeze appears to be Jordan Masterson. The 23-year-old actress, and the Last Man Standing actor, 27, have been photographed together for quite some time. Both have Hollywood in their blood: Dakota is the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, while Jordan is is the younger half-brother of actors Danny and Christopher Masterson.

After the pair attended several red carpet events together over the past year, Jordan’s younger sister, actress Alanna, 25, shared a sweet photo of the twosome on Instagram Aug. 26. In the snapshot, the casually dressed couple diligently works on a crossword puzzle together — in pen! “My two favorite people,” Alanna captioned the photo.

On Monday, Sept. 2, Fifty Shades of Grey author E.L. James announced that Johnson would play Anastasia Steele opposite Hunnam’s Christian Grey in the upcoming film adaptation of the erotic novel. That same day, Alanna posted a group photo of what appears to be Jordan, Alanna and brother Chris giving Johnson a big hug. “Everyone is so proud of you Dakota,” Alanna captioned the shot. “Well, except for Chris,” she jokingly added of his funny face.

Hopefully Masterson is as supportive of Johnson’s highly-sexualized new role as Hunnam claims his girlfriend to be. At the Sons of Anarchy sixth season premiere on Sept. 7, Hunnam, 33, said his longtime love McNelis gave him her full support. “It’s very hard to be with an actor. She’s required to share parts of me that she wouldn’t really want to share, so of course with the nature of this role that’s going to be times ten,” he said. “So it was a decision we made together but you know, she loved the books, she read them and loved them and she was really excited at the potential of this opportunity for me and, if anything, I think it will bring us closer.”

But that doesn’t mean fans can’t expect to see steamy scenes between Hunnam and Johnson. “There’s just like a tangible chemistry between us,” the actor said. “It felt exciting and fun and weird and compelling.”
