May 30, 1974About
Born May 30, 1974, Cee Lo Green made his way into the music scene in 1995 with the album Soul Food recorded by Goodie Mob, an Atlanta based group consisting of Green, Big Gipp, Khujo Goodie and T-Mo.
After releasing two more albums with the group, Green embarked on a solo career in 2002 and released the album His Perfect Imperfections with little commercial success. It wasn’t until 2006 when Green partnered up with music producer Danger Mouse to form the group called Gnarls Barkle, that Green found mainstream success with his hit single “Crazy.”
Most recently Green has released his album The Lady Killer which features his hit single “F*** You.” The song has played on the radio and been featured on the hit TV show Glee in a friendlier format as “Forget You.”
Green is currently a coach on the NBC singing competition The Voice.
